The position of eSports Coordinator is an “at-will” position. As an “at-will” employee, Yavapai college may terminate employment at any time for any lawful reason.
This position is a full-time position with expunctions of practices and completions which may include nights and weekends.
The eSports Coordinator reports to the Assistant Athletic Director – Operations and is responsible for assisting the department with student-athletes participating in College-sponsored intercollegiate athletic teams and supporting the mission of Yavapai College Athletics.

- Prepared and executes a practice plan with specific guidelines to be followedLeads recruiting efforts to grow the team.Plans and manages fundraising efforts for the team. Future goals may include becoming a self-sufficient department.Coordinates and maintains eSports room. Includes maintenance of equipment with IT.Coordinates eSports competitions with various schools.On Scheduled days in the office responsibilities: answering phone calls, player relations, scheduling, and summer camp coordination.Manages student development and student-athlete academic progress and eligibility.Development training/conditioning programs for the individual athletes and monitors their progressPrepared, collets and distributes information about the College gaming program to compliance organizations, administration, faculty, staff, and the general public while maintaining the confidentiality of student-athlete records.Participates in activities that contribute to the overall understanding of the athletic program/department.Other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited institutionExperience in coaching/training athletics and/or mentoring student-athletes preferred or experience in competitive gamingPossession of, or the ability to obtain, a valid Arizona Driver’s License with the ability to demonstrate an acceptable driving recordFingerprint Clearance CardRegular attendance is an essential job function as it demonstrations dependability toward the performance of job duties
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related fieldCoaching experience in the area of interestExperience working in an eSports programFamiliarity of the NJCAAWork experience in higher education/college environment
