Job Description Summary:

The Director for Randall Lewis Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Social Impact (RLCESI) is responsible for leading and managing the center to meet its mission of providing essential entrepreneurial and innovative training and education to students, alumni, and the community. Guide the center in its mission to create social impact in Southern California aligned with the university’s status as an Hispanic Serving Institution.

Specific Duties:

  • Create and promote programing and offerings through the center to attract and educate all members of our various communities with a focus on the underrepresented populations in the Inland Empire and LA County. Works closely with the provost’s office and the four colleges on partnering and delivering programming and services.

  • Create networks and mentoring relationship that will further the mission of the center with key business leaders, supportive partners, and municipal governments.

  • Working in tandem with University Advancement, develop prospects and donors who will philanthropically support the work of the center.

  • Communicate clearly, orally, and in writing, the mission, vision, and impact of the center to internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience managing a broad network of status holders and partners.
  • Experience developing programming and training to a diverse population.
  • Experience coaching / developing in a business and/or education setting.
  • Knowledge in providing entrepreneurial programming.
  • Clear demonstration of success in developing relationships in support of the mission of an organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree.
  • Creating a complex volunteer structure to support a wide variety of training programs.
  • 4 years of experience in higher education.
  • 2 or more years of economic development at the community level.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and internal equity.
