Overview

Applications are being accepted for a full-time Recruitment and Admissions Engagement Specialist at Moraine Park Technical College, Fond du Lac Campus.  This position will provide direct contact with prospective and admitted students in line with established communication strategies, department processing and student engagement efforts.

 

 

Beginning:  Immediately 

Responsibilities

1. Use CRM and other technologies to maintain student engagement throughout the enrollment process via letter, e-mail, phone and texting channels. Assist in the production of scheduled recruitment and admissions communications consistent with the communication sequence/plans.

2. Serve as primary contact for online inquiries, admissions email and phone line. Evaluate customer requests, research answers to questions, follow-up and provide referrals as appropriate. Provide information regarding policies and procedures, and status of applications; perform word processing, spreadsheet and data entry.

3. Set up and send departmental texting to prospects, applicants and new admits. Respond to text messages.

4. Inactivate timed out started applications, follow-up on change of program with background checks, and conduct other related admissions processing to maintain accurate data and keep students/prospects well informed of needed items.

5. Modify automated email messages within the CRM using HTML format.

6. Run basic reports, queries, and extracts from CRM for tracking and targeted communications.

7. Provide support to recruitment and admissions events and other departmental activities, including assistance in event coordination, conduct tours and other responsibilities.

8. Use CRM and ERP to maintain current, accurate information on each person record.

9. Provide back-up to CRM communications and other duties of Recruitment and Admissions Communications Specialist.

10. Work on special projects as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. High School diploma required. Associate degree in business area, IT, Administrative Assistant or related field preferred.

2. Two years of related work experience. Database experience required.

3. Two years of customer service or related experience required.

4. Any combination of equivalent training and experience which provides desired knowledge, skills and abilities.

5. Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently with little supervision and make sound decisions. Must demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize special projects with routine assignments.

6. Strong working knowledge of computer applications: experience with database systems, HTML, student administration systems, MS Office, and Outlook preferred. Ability to learn other business applications quickly required.

7. Ability to think critically, analyze information, resolve problems and make recommendations.

8. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and work well in teams.

9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

10. Must maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) preferred.

11. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.
