Responsibilities and Duties
The Assistant Director is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing a comprehensive programming model meeting the needs of a diverse student body totaling 23,000 students. This includes coordinating and implementing current signature programs such as Welcome2TU Programming and supporting staff who oversee current signature programs including Homecoming, TU Holiday, Labor Stay Weekend, and TU after Hours. Serve as co-chair to the Weekend Programming Committee and Welcome to TU subcommittee. The Assistant Director is also responsible for working with collaborative partners to plan and support programming. Such collaborative partners are student organizations, New Student and Family Programs, Housing and Residence Life, Health Center, Campus Recreation Services, Counseling Center, Athletics, and the Center for Student Diversity. The Assistant Director will assist the Director and Assistant Director of Leadership with departmental strategic planning, budget management oversight, staff development, and creating a comprehensive assessment plan including learning outcomes and staff development. This position will serve as the division expert of contracts. Additionally, the Assistant Director will supervise the Coordinator of Campus Programming for Late Night and Weekend Programming, and the Coordinator of Campus Programming for the Campus Activities Board. The Assistant Director will serve on university and divisional committees and will perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
