Overview

The Employer Engagement Coordinator provides employer event approval and coordination, and employer engagement support throughout the academic year and during the summer months. The individual supports the employer engagement team with administrative and technical support for on-campus recruiting and outreach activities.

 

This is a 2 year term position with possibility of renewal. 

Responsibilities

Coordination of Employer Events (30%)

  • Enter all employer event planning information into Trello, the office’s collaboration tool
  • Approve and coordinate all employer events in the Handshake system and work with communications team to ensure posting on main Centers’ website calendar and other University calendars
  • Coordinate space, room setup, and other needs for the various employer events such that the coordinator is the primary contact with facilities, dining services, and various representative of campus departments to ensure employers on-campus events are supported
  • Handle any logistical issues and/or troubleshoot any problems that arise onsite at employer events

 

Employer Engagement (70%)

  • Build new relationships in a wide range of industries and fields based on student interests and encourage employers (including alumni, parents and organizations) to post experiential opportunities, internships and jobs.
  • Educate and support employers seeking to post opportunities by familiarizing them with our unique recruitment platform, policies and students.
  • Provide employer relations and administrative support for career fairs and other recruitment initiatives.
  • Review job and internship postings
  • Assist in tracking employer participation in programming and events
  • Utilize Salesforce to track employer engagement
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of event planning experience within a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends frequently
  • Exemplary problem solving, customer service and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build internal and external relationships
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
  • Demonstrated understanding of the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion within the workplace and in all interactions with all constituents and stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Trello, a project management tool used to coordinate events calendar and logistics.
  • Proficiency with google docs
  • Mastery of all MS applications and Concur preferred
