The HRIS Systems Associate is part of the HRIS team responsible for appropriate interpretation and execution of Human Resource data change requests of a diversified nature. This role has a higher level of expertise, decision making and responsibility overseeing the processing and troubleshooting of data administration and works closely with HR staff to verify information as well as the Payroll department to resolve issues in order to meet biweekly and monthly payroll deadlines. This role is responsible for tier 1 support regarding data issues and requests, collaborating closely with HR departments, OIT and other campus departments, and will take the lead to work through any technical issues with the HRIS administrators or OIT. This position also monitors and audits manual and automated data changes that are executed through processes or system workflows. In addition, this role is responsible for running processes to update data ensuring accuracy of source data and validates appropriate sign offs are acquired prior to data changes. This position reports in to the Manager, HRIS.
Responsibilities
- Writes and maintains PeopleSoft documentation.
- Assists with the design of eForms, Performance Management, Recruitment, or other systems as assigned.
- Performs systems testing during upgrades.
- Participates in HR systems-related projects, as needed.
- Reviews payroll output to ensure that testing is completed accurately and timely.
- Adds additional transactions to test scripts as necessary.
- Effectively communicates with HR clients and maintains strong working relationship to allow for accurate and timely response to inquiries.
- Researches and assists with ad-hoc data clean-up projects.
- Provides ideas and input to enhance the HR experience for all employees.
- Assists with design, implementation and administration of all process improvement programs and activities.
- Provides tier one (1) support on data issues and requests.
- Effectively addresses inquiries and provides accurate and timely responses where possible without compromise to service and quality.
- Supports operational data reporting (both regular and adhoc).
- Works with preparer of documents to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
- BA/BS or equivalent experience required
- A minimum of three (3) years of PeopleSoft or other ERP system required with data entry/administration experience in an HRIS capacity.
- Performance management, recruiting and cloud systems experience preferred.
- Understanding of and experience with relational query reporting systems
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information in a responsible and accurate manner
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
