We are currently seeking a highly motivated and independent postdoctoral fellow interested in using microscopy to assess the levels carbon-rich plant biopolymers, like suberin, in the roots of model plants as well as select row and cover crops and to uncover the in planta gene expression patterns underlying these traits.
The ideal candidate will be a plant biologist who has experience in root phenotyping, including confocal microscopy and in situ hybridization techniques. The candidate should be independently motivated, scientifically inquisitive, and eager to discover new gene regulatory mechanisms that can be leveraged to tackle the larger issue of climate change. The postdoc will join a diverse team of plant biologists with expertise in bioinformatics, molecular biology, epigenetics and chromatin.
Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, Agricultural or Plant Biology or related fields
The expected pay range for this position is $65,000 - $71,000 per annum.
