Primary Function of Organizational Unit :

The Department of Surgery is a clinical department within the School of Medicine with the attendant responsibility for medical education and research. The Chair of the department is also the Chief of Surgical services for the hospital. The department includes 36 full-time faculty members in the sections of: transplantation surgery, plastic surgery, pediatric surgery, surgical oncology, general and bariatric surgery, and trauma and acute care surgery. It also includes clinical and basic science research labs. The 70+ employees in the department support our clinical, education and research programs.

Job Duties :

The Department of Surgery is recruiting for a part-time, fixed term Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor to provide periodic weekend/call coverage for the Pediatric Surgery Division.

Minimum Education/Experience :

MD from an appropriately accredited institution required and full, unrestricted license to practice medicine in NC.

Fellowship training in Pediatric Surgery.

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation :

NC Medical license
