Job Description The Missouri institute for Defense & Energy is seeking to hire a Post-Doctoral Associate who is a subject matter expert in software-defined medium power microwaves with specific focus in RF/EE simulations, prototype development, and integration of systems to augment the quantitative performance, accuracy, and effectiveness of the systems being developed within the Institute’s programs. Duties/ Responsibilities:
Oversee design and simulation of GaN RF Transistor behavior in developing a software-defined medium-power-microwave source (e.g., pulse compression, power combining, etc.).Oversee the build/prototyping of GaN RF Transistor printed circuit boards.Oversee and/or manage the design, build, prototyping and integration of prime power for the RF transistor boards.Oversee the interfacing of the SD-MPM board to one or more radiating structures.Oversee the minimization of losses and impedance matching, from end-to-end.Coordinate and illicit the requirements of the system from the overall project stakeholders.When students are available, mentor them through the design processes listed in the duties.Work within the GaN SD-MPM team to develop simulation models and prototypes of systems.Mentor students/faculty/staff on technical area as appropriate.Leverage MIDE Support Services Resources such as Business Development, Logistics, IS/IT. Holistically uphold MIDE’s mission, vision, and values. The ideal team member will demonstrate:

A Doctoral degree with specific expertise in pulsed /high-power electronics
