Departmental Objective:

Effectively implement the university president’s vision for a world class campus that attracts, inspires, and bonds people to CNU. We will monitor and maintain all existing and future turf and landscaped areas and ensure that they are maintained to the highest standards. We will ensure that these primary duties will emphasize and enhance aesthetic appearance, and value and promote environmental responsibility, and be economically feasible.

Purpose of the Position:

This position will be a working crew member, coordinating with supervisors, each daily task. This position will have responsibilities of maintaining designated campus turf and landscape areas, striving for a safe workplace with required training for equipment operation, and ensure that assigned equipment is safely and efficiently used and maintained. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required:

Basic knowledge of landscaping and grounds maintenance

Good communication skills

Ability to read and write

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required :

Education Required: Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Experience Required: Experience working outside performing landscape
and/or grounds maintenance tasks.

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Preferred :

Education Preferred: VDACS certified registered technician

Experience Preferred: Experience working at a landscape company.

Per the Governor’s order, as a state employee, you would be required to disclose vaccine status. If you are fully vaccinated, you must provide documents confirming this status.
