Join us in Temple University’s Office of Strategic Marketing and Communications, one of higher education’s most progressive marketing communications teams.  Under the supervision of the Content Manager, the Content Producer is responsible for discovering, developing, and writing content designed to increase awareness of and enrollment at Temple University. The incumbent will understand the mission and goals of Temple University’s Strategic Marketing and Communications division and will produce copy in support of those goals. Content Producer responsibilities will include but are not limited to, producing high-quality, actionable, and brand-aligned content for advertising, brochures, emails, flyers, postcards, social media, and digital marketing. The position works closely with content strategists, project managers, graphic designers, multimedia, and social media specialists to develop a research-based understanding of the University’s key audiences and produce powerful materials that deliver strategic messages, align with strategic goals, and are user-oriented. The Content Producer performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. At least two (2) years of directly related experience. Must have demonstrated copyediting and proofreading experience.  An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills & Abilities:

*Superior interpersonal and problem-solving skills, including the ability to establish cooperative working relationships with supervisors, colleagues, campus partners, and members of the media

*Must have a firm grasp of grammar and content best practices and be skilled, accomplished, and persuasive writer

*Demonstrated knowledge of digital media and its culture, trends, and best practices, and advertising best practices

*Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and make independent decisions in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines

*Excellent project management, analytical, communication, and diplomacy skills

*Must be able to attend staff events as needed (including occasional nights and weekends)

*Must possess proficiency in all standard computer applications, including Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Preferred:

* Experience working in higher education marketing  

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
