Multimedia Creative Manager - IPS Program Development & Support

Regular, Full-time, Market Range 09

This position supports the Institute for Public Service and its six agencies by working with IPS employees in the processes of creation, production, and implementation of digital and print materials. This position mainly provides original and creative graphics for the production of digital communication media and print productions. It also extends to creating and implementing IPS website elements and style guides, promotional videos, and other creative projects as needed.

This position reports to the Communications Manager (IPS communications lead) and promotes the mission and statewide impact of the Institute of Public Service through strategic electronic communication, generated by (and about) all elements of the institute.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Update design and content of existing IPS and two agency websites adhering to brand standards.

• Provide forward-thinking creative concepts for print and digital communications materials for all six IPS agencies, adhering to brand standards.

• Provide input on strategic communications campaigns.

• Engage in creative collaboration across the organization to develop and enhance content for publications, websites, and other digital media.

• Manage publishing process to ensure content is optimized across multiple platforms.

• Consult with clients and assess their needs, ensuring design specifications meet specific budget restrictions and deadlines; establish priorities as required before beginning production of materials.

• Shoot photography and/or video of IPS agency events, training, or classes.

• Propose creative shooting and marketing solutions for video and photo productions.

• Coordinate and stage videos with correct lighting, sound, and environment.

• Edit and produce video for websites, social media, and other marketing tools.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts, graphic arts, communication, or related field.


Three years of experience in graphic and digital design or related field.


• Proficient in Adobe CC applications including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects and Premiere Pro.

• Demonstrated knowledge (proficient) of all core front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

• Knowledge of current and emerging web standards

• Demonstrated strong design skills, awareness of visual aesthetics
