- The CAA/CRNA will record appropriate events during the anesthetic on the anesthesia record, including vital signs, drugs dispensed, and procedures performed according to the established documentation guidelines.The CAA/CRNA will deliver the patient safely to the post anesthesia care unit and provide a brief report of the anesthesia care to the PACU nurse.The CAA/CRNA will update progress notes on patientsDepartmental requirements for billing purposes will be observed
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant or Registered Nurse Anesthetist educational program and active certification.
- 1-2 years pediatric experience CAA/CRNA preferred or pediatric nursing / clinical care experience preferred Experience in teaching Anesthesia.
- Must have a strong working and theoretical knowledge of Anesthesia as well as experience in teaching Anesthesia. Selfdirects in contributing to meeting the Department's expectations as a group and maintaining the necessary requirements certification (CME credits) and licensurePossesses the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties position.
- Honest and ethicalReliable, conscientious, and responsible Able to learn from experienceAble to react to stressful situations in an appropriate manner Maintains proper professional decorumAbility to communicate effectively with patients, their families, and additional members of the health care team.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, nurses, and other hospital employees in the workplace.
