Network Engineer IIIVP Technology/Infrastructure
Location: New Orleans, LA
The Network Engineer III’s role is to ensure the stability and integrity of the university’s voice, data, and video and wireless network services. This is achieved by planning, designing, and developing those services necessary to support the operation of the network. These services include but are not limited to Routers, Switches, and Firewalls. In addition, the Network Engineer III will participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support and optimization of all network hardware and software which provide these services. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required.
1.B.S. inElectrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology.
2.10 ormore years’ experience as a network engineer, to include experience working ina team-oriented, collaborative environment.
3.Proventrack record of IPv6 deployment in an enterprise setting.
4.Provenexperience with design of large scale enterprise scale networks utilizingdynamic routing protocols including OSPFv2, OSPFv3, and BGP4.
5.Provenexperience and success with design, implementation, and maintenance of firewallinfrastructure in a distributed enterprise environment.
6.Provenexperience and success with design, implementation, and maintenance of SIEM(for example, Q1 Labs QRadar) infrastructure in a distributed enterpriseenvironment.
7.Provenexperience and success with design, implementation, and maintenance of IPsecand SSL VPN infrastructure in a distributed enterprise environment.
