Turbine AATD/Simulator Instructor - Aerospace

Position Information: Description

The Turbine AATD/Simulator Instructor will conduct CRJ flight and ground training operations in accordance with FAR 141 and FAR 61.

Develop and incorporate instruction aids.Administer stage and evaluation checks.Administration

Monitor flight training records and progress.  Conduct review boards. Monitor curriculum and suggest changes when necessary. Recommend improvements for training and safety. Develop, monitor, and maintain policies and procedures. Assist Dispatch and Test CenterConduct tours and Promotional CRJ ActivitiesDuties as assignedFlight Instructor

Conduct ground, FTD and flight instruction.Follow prescribed curriculum. Maintain student records. Maintain superior training standards.Maintain safe operations. Maintain an appropriate level of contact time as per Assistant Chief Flight InstructorPersonal and Professional Development

Maintain currency and remain abreast of regulatory changes. Maintain professional demeanor and appearance. Continue professional development. Required Competencies
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to make sound training and safety decisions
  • Good team building skills.
  • Motivated, self-starter with the ability to perform without direct supervision.
  • Ability to learn UND training course outlines and computer systems
Minimum Requirements
  • B.S. Degree in Aviation or related Field or equivalent flight experience
  • 2 years’ experience as a Flight Instructor.
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate with instrument and multi-engine ratings
  • CFI – Airplane with instrument and multi-engine ratings
  • Excellent working knowledge of FAR’s and Part 141 Pilot School Operations
  • Successful completion of criminal history records check.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience flying higher performance/altitude turbine aircraft
  • Part 121 or 135 Experience 
Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification$65,000 - $80,000 dependent on experience/Full-Time/Benefited/Exempt

Variable work schedule as needed
