OB-GYN Registered Nurse

Position Information: DescriptionThe role of the nurse is to deliver quality care to the entire family, while coordinating with all nursing staff in quality assurance, education and direct patient care.  The nurse will work with resident physicians, directors, office and administrative staff in pharmacy to provide quality care to patients, to keep patient flow efficient and maintain an optimum learning environment for resident physicians and other students involved in the clinic.  The nurse will assist in maintaining patient charts to ensure accuracy.

This position will work with OB-GYN patients.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in care of patients
• Direct patients to exam room in a polite and timely manner
• Take a brief history, vital signs, medication and allergies, recording information into system
• Schedule various procedures and or appointments with other physicians
Report and track laboratory test results, and other diagnostic testingExhibits and promotes excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and attitude

Required Competencies

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with faculty and resident physicians Ability to work with patients and the public in a professional, confidential, and calm fashionStrong written and oral communication skills

Minimum Requirements

• Associates degree in nursing
• One year of nursing experience
• Registered Nurse in the state of North Dakota
• Successful completion of criminal history records check

Three years' experience in an OB/GYN clinical settingExperience in pre/post-surgical careEpic electronic health records system experience
