Position Description:
Provides support and assistance to the Chief Compliance and Audit Officer with administering the University Compliance Program, particularly in the area of training and compliance initiatives.
Handles confidential information including those pertaining to training records. Organizes and maintains documents for easy retrieval. Works with the Office of the General Counsel and the Policy Administrators to map training to applicable regulatory requirements and documents risk findings to identify training needs and to incorporate training activities into training plans. Represents the Compliance Office at campus-wide and departmental meetings, university committees and programs as needed. Conducts compliance trainings and provides compliance information during new hire orientations for staff and faculty. Participates in the development and implementation of classroom, web-based and other media training programs for all employees designed to promote knowledge of University policies, legal and regulatory requirements of the University's activities. Helps assess and decide whether to train individuals through online, live, one-on-one or group sessions. Develops feedback mechanisms to ensure employees understand training content. Maintain records of training and regularly provides reports. Support non-compliance training programs by providing coordination assistance as requested or needed. Coordinates both internal and external resources required by the program. Provides technical expertise, evaluates content and makes recommendation on incorporating all facets of training programs into operations. Project manages training campaigns, including following up to ensure completion and reporting on progress.
Executes complex compliance functions and works closely with University management, faculty and staff to communicate the merits of and adherence to all aspects of compliance at the University. Develops relationships with personnel who have a significant role in the University's compliance efforts. Work with Audit & Advisory Services and responsible University management to address identified compliance issues. Performs other duties and projects as needed or assigned by the Chief Compliance and Audit Officer.
