Normal Work Schedule: Hours vary M-F: 8AM-8PM and Sunday 1-6PM

Job Summary: The Instructional Technologist II utilizes pedagogically sound principles to assist faculty with the integration of technology into instruction to enhance teaching and learning. This position works in collaboration with other academic support professionals to provide instructional technology evaluation, faculty support, and documentation to enhance teaching and learning. This position provides consultations with faculty and others in academic areas.

Additional Department Summary: The Senior Instructional Technology Support Specialist supports UA’s distance education programs by assisting with the development, maintenance, and support of online courses. This position provides learning management system (Blackboard Learn and D2L) expertise and guidance to faculty, students, and other instructional design professionals. Additionally, the position provides direct technical support for online course learning management systems to faculty and students through a helpdesk system and is responsible creating and delivering technical training to new staff and faculty.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree and three (3) years of instructional technology experience; OR Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of instructional technology experience; OR Master's degree. Student or Graduate Assistant, Intern, or student oriented experience will be considered. To be considered student experience, it must be detailed in the employment section on the application.

Skills and Knowledge: Experience providing instructional technology support, including troubleshooting problems within a learning management system and other instructional technologies. Must have strong time management, collaboration, and written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: The following qualifications are strongly desired:

-Knowledge of Mac and PC systems
-Ability to troubleshoot a variety of instructional technology
-Knowledge of learning management systems
-Knowledge of online course pedagogy
