Job Description Summary:

MUST BE A CURRENT LA VERNE STUDENT WITH FEDERAL WORK STUDY. Provide general office support for the Director of Risk Management which reports to the Office of Financial and Business Services.

Specific Duties:

Provide support for the Director of Risk Management. Duties are project and task centric and include: Manage certificates of insurance in IContracts, support the annual insurance renewal, assist in the business continuity & crisis management plan, assist in the development of risk management policy’s, support the risk management website redesign, support the Safety Committee initiatives and take meeting minutes, Develop a Safety Committee video/newsletter, filing, making telephone calls/e-mails, and other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be a full time federal work study eligible student.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Microsoft Office, phones, calculators, and comfortable using technology to accomplish task and assignments.

Employees are eligible for the following benefits:

One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.

University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan – can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds.

In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.

Covered under the University of La Verne Workers Compensation Insurance.
