1 The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Wheaton College seeks applicants for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor in Anthropology and Sociology to start in Fall 2022. We seek a colleague dedicated to engaging undergraduate instruction in a liberal arts setting. Areas of specialization are open. Expertise in and ability to teach research methods, social class, race and ethnicity, and/or gender will help address teaching needs in our two disciplines. Faculty are expected to teach 6 courses a year including introductory courses in both disciplines. Preference will be given to those with a PhD in hand in sociocultural anthropology, sociology, or significantly related discipline and some teaching experience. ABD will be considered. This position is contingent on sabbatical funding and may be renewable twice contingent on funding.
