Job Summary

The PA SBDC is seeking a FT 12 month Assistant Director Finance and Special Programs who is responsible for the administration of the Pennsylvania Small Business Development Center's financial management responsibilities. Job functions include coordinating the Small Business Development Co-operative agreement, Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, Defense Logistics Agency, Program Income revenue accounts, Kutztown University match budgets and various other funding sources under the management of the lead office. Assistant Director will support financial management and compliance of 16 Small Business Development Centers hosted at higher education institutions. This position coordinates internal budget operations including reporting requirements in compliance with federal (SBA, PTAC, OMB Circulars), state (DCED, PASBDC) and university (PASSHE, KU) policies and audit requirements. The nature of this position requires a great deal of independent problem solving, analytical, critical thinking and strategic decision making for the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in financial business related field or equivalent
  • Three years of external federal/state grant management experience or one year of direct grant management experience in an SBDC
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent
  • Experience with online grant management implementation processes is a plus

This grant-funded management position has an anticipated starting salary of $49,699-60,000, commensurate with skills and experience.
