Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Special Collections Student Assistant, Boca Raton, FL.

The Special Collections (SPC) department at FAU Libraries includes rare books, manuscripts, and letters, print music, and historical materials. SPC student assistants will keep regularly scheduled hours, help maintain and organize the collection, perform basic archival responsibilities and work with students, faculty, staff, and the public.

Summary of Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist with shelving and shelf-maintenance.
  • Sorting and processing Special Collections.
  • Monitor Weiner exhibit on assigned days.
  • General office duties (which includes filing, ordering supplies, and delivering materials).

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree-seeking undergraduate student with a minimum of six credit hours (or twelve if international) and a 2.0 GPA.


$10.00 per hour

Work Days and Hours:

Monday -Friday, flexible hours between 8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m., up to 20 hours per week.
