Trinity Christian College is looking for a full-time Administrative Coordinator for the Education Department. The coordinator makes all field placements for both the traditional and adult programs. Work is done in consultation with the Dean of Education and faculty of courses where field experiences are needed.

The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:

Clinical Placements
  • Manage/create specific paperwork and processes required for each school placement request for    adult and traditional students completing clinical placements in the area, for New Horizons, for Full Circle, and in pre-student teaching placements. Serve as a liaison for Chicago Semester student teachers.
  • Keep track of the progress/lack of progress of each student’s placement(s)
  • Conduct any necessary follow up to get updates from the schools about the status of the requests
  • Inform candidates via email and on their student portal of placements
  • Keep track of and inform candidates of any additional paperwork needed by school district
  • Communicate and support cooperating teachers and college supervisors, including assigning college supervisor to student teachers and planning and conducting orientations.
  • Oversee payments and paperwork processing for college supervisors and cooperating teachers.
  • Oversee distribution and dissemination of clinical evaluations
Field Placements
  • Manage/create any additional/specific paperwork that is required for each school placement request          for adult and traditional students and supplement and non-licensure major/minors completing field placements.
  • Keep track of the progress/lack of progress of each student’s placement(s)
  • Conduct any necessary follow up to get updates from the schools about the status of the requests
  • Inform candidates via email and on their student portal of placements
  • Keep track of and inform candidates of any additional paperwork needed by school district
  • Oversee distribution and dissemination of clinical evaluations
School Partnerships
  • Aides in establishing and preserving effective mutually beneficial partnerships for high-quality clinical placements.
  • Support clinical components, assist with partnership tasks, maintain document and compile evidence of stakeholder involvement 2
  • Work with Dean and faculty members in making visits to the administration and/or teachers in partnership schools to work collaboratively on building and supporting the partnership.

Other qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in working with school superintendents, administrators, teachers, and other school personnel preferred
  • Experience with administrative tasks
  • Ability to track a large amount of information at one time
  • Ability to track a large amount of information at one time
  • Competence in finding information about schools/districts through networking and websites
  • Competence in working productively with a variety of personalities
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the education program, in state licensure and accreditation requirements, and job procedures

  • Ability to learn and use CAMS database software and run reports using Informer
  • Ability to navigate and use Brightspace Learning Management System
  • Ability to use MS WORD and EXCEL platforms
  • Excellent use of English language in both spoken and written responses
