Job Description Summary:Position Responsibilities:
- Use fundamental aerosol mechanics to guide initial design of aerosol inlets
- CFD simulations (LES, RANS) of different inlet designs.
- Wind-tunnel experiments to validate CFD simulations
- Work with a graduate student for aerosol experiments and modeling
Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD
- All applicants must have an advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Atmospheric Sciences, or a closely related field to be considered.
- Demonstrated experience with CFD modeling and aerosol dynamics simulations
- Experience in computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
- Experience in simulations of turbulent and compressible flows, and aerosol dynamics
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD

Physical Demands
- The employee must be able to sit at a computer for extended periods of time using a keyboard
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally required to lift and move boxes up to 20 lbs.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; bend and stoop
