Job Summary This position is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of campus doors and locks.

    Installs and repairs doors, locks, and hardware. (60%)Installs doors and hardware.Maintains doors, door hardware and locks for manual, automatic, and electronic doors.Fabricates hardware and lock parts as needed. Cuts keys and re-combines locks.Monitors the work of contractors in the installation, maintenance, and repair of doors and locks.

    Develops plans and manages key inventory. (30%)Issues keys to faculty and staff; maintains secure inventory of keys.Develops work schedules and plans to accomplish tasks.Researches and gathers information concerning security systems.Develops specifications for doors, locks, hardware and security systems.

    Performs a variety of related duties. (10%)
Required Qualifications
    High school diploma or equivalent required.More than one year of related experience required.Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
