Job Summary This position is responsible for the installation, repair and maintenance of campus doors and locks, and performing general maintenance on campus.

Responsibilities
    Installs and repairs doors, locks, and hardware. (45%)Installs doors and hardware.Maintains doors, door hardware and locks for manual, automatic, and electronic doors.Fabricates hardware and lock parts as needed. Cuts keys and re-combines locks.Monitors the work of contractors in the installation, maintenance, and repair of doors and locks.

    Develops plans and manages key inventory. (10%)Issues keys to faculty and staff; maintains secure inventory of keys.Develops work schedules and plans to accomplish tasks.Researches and gathers information concerning security systems.Develops specifications for doors, locks, hardware and security systems.

    Maintains locksmith shop. (5%)Maintains shop and equipment.Maintains equipment, parts, and supply inventory

    Performs a variety of related duties. (40%)General maintenance and repairs
Required Qualifications
    High school diploma or equivalent required.More than one year of related experience required.Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
