Applicants should have an MD degree or equivalent, and be board certified or board eligible in Anatomic Pathology. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in general surgical pathology sign out service. Additional expertise in diagnostic cytopathology (certification or experience) including fine needle aspiration is desirable. This individual will be involved in resident and medical student teaching and is expected to undertake academic pursuits in his/her area of interest. Georgia license or eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in Georgia is required. The Department of Pathology provides diagnostic clinical services to AU Health System, a 478 bed adult hospital and the 154 bed Children’s Hospital of Georgia. The Department is actively involved in the dynamic growth of innovative oncology programs and offers a strong collaborative and supportive environment that is closely linked to successful centers in Cancer, Neuroscience and Regenerative Medicine, Vascular Biology, and Biotechnology & Genomic Medicine.Appointments will be at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor and salary is based upon level of qualification, experience, and scholarly accomplishments.   • Medical Doctorate with at least four years' postgraduate training in Pathology, with specialty training in Cytopathology
  • Diplomate American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with sub-specialty certification in cytopathology
