Boston University is seeking an Assistant Director, Collection Site Operations as part of its COVID-19 Recovery Plan. This effort will involve several COVID-19 testing sites across the universitys campuses where students, staff, and faculty will self-collect test samples. The Assistant Director reports directly to the Director of Operations in scheduling staff, ensuring opening/closing procedures are followed, managing the supervisory team, and other duties assigned by the manager. This position is responsible for overseeing payroll approval and liasing with HR and Director of Personnel and Administration on employment issues and concerns. Night and weekend shifts will be required on occasion and with as much notice as possible. The Assistant Director role is critical to the ongoing Back2BU Health and Safety Initiative. A high level of customer service, employee relations, ability to manage competing priorities, and continued professionalism is required.

Required Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Masters Degree preferred
  • 3-5 years related experience required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Ability to read, write, speak English
