This position is responsible for coaching the College of Law mock trial teams. The mock trial team practices regularly and competes in local regional, and national competitions.
- Instructs students in trial advocacy techniques including, but not limited to, writing and performing opening statements, direct examinations, cross examinations, and closing arguments, and making and responding to objections.
- Teaches students the Federal Rules of Evidence and legal principles and procedures associated with both criminal and civil cases.
- Works with students to develop case themes, theories, and strategies.
- Attends and leads mock trial practices.
- Accompanies students to mock trial competitions and chaperones to ensure that all students adhere to all University policies and procedures throughout the duration of the trip.
- Litigation experience preferred
