Organizational Unit Overview:

ECU is a comprehensive university with more than 29,000 undergraduate and graduate students. The ECU College of Business has been AACSB accredited for over 40 years and offers BSBA, MBA and MSA degrees to approximately 4,200 undergraduate and 900 graduate students. The Department of Management within the College of Business at ECU has approximately 500 undergraduate majors and 32 faculty members and offers courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Job Duties :

The Department of Management within the College of Business at East Carolina University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track, nine-month faculty position beginning academic year 2022-2023. The successful candidate will be able to teach some combination of undergraduate and graduate courses in a variety of management concentration areas including but not limited to organizational behavior, human resources, and international business. The standard teaching load is 9 s.h. in each of the fall and spring semesters. Additional duties include research/creative activities leading to publications as required for tenure as well as appropriate service to the university, community, and profession. This appointment will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate or Full Professor beginning in August 2022.

Minimum Education/Experience :

This appointment requires a PhD with a concentration in Business or Management from an appropriately accredited institution that satisfies credentialing under SACS guidelines. Candidates with PhD newly conferred at the time of initial appointment will hold the probationary rank of Assistant Professor. ABD candidates will also be initially appointed with the probationary term rank of Assistant Professor and must have the terminal degree conferred prior to their first reappointment. The position requires teaching excellence and strong scholarly productivity.

License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation :

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education :

Prefer candidate with terminal degree conferred and an interest in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources. A secondary interest in International Business is desirable.
