Adjunct Faculty in this program will experience hands-on coaching and mentoring and the opportunity to assist, partner, and collaborate on Action Research.Note: This part-time Adjunct Faculty position will be teaching 4-week online courses.Essential Job Duties:

- Lead classroom sessions online according to university policiesProvide expertise in assigned content areas by maintaining current knowledge in the fieldRespond to student needs in a timely fashion or typically within 48 hoursProvide substantive feedback to students, grade assignments, and post grades Participate in online class discussion boardsHave a strong emphasis in student-centered learning by encouraging participation in their own learning and promoting student inquiriesMaintain a positive, safe, student-centric learning environment
- Master’s degree in Education, or a related field, with an area of emphasis in Social Emotional Learning from a nationally or regionally accredited university 3 years’ experience (occurring within the last 5 years) working with social emotional programs or practices in either a school-wide or company-wide setting Experience with online learning environments Must reside and be eligible to work in the United States
- Terminal degree (PhD) in Education, or a related field, with an area of emphasis in Social Emotional Learning from a nationally or regionally accredited universityLeadership experience that includes conducting workshops or professional developmentTeaching experience at the PK – 12 environmentsExperience teaching adult and non-traditional learnersExperience collaborating with school districts and community partnersExperience in research methods, data collection, and Action Research Methods CITI (Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative) certification for working with Human Subjects Research and Action Research StudiesExperience teaching graduate-level coursesExperience working with videoconferencing and web-based tools

Physical Demands/Environment:
- Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures and viewing a computer terminal and requires color vision and depth perception. The work is performed in an office environment and outside the office as necessary.
