The Assistant Manager, Athletics Advancement – Princeton Varsity Club & Athletics Friends Groups position will support the overall functions of the athletics advancement team. This position will report to the Associate Director of Athletics and will have primary responsibilities that will include oversight of the day to-day operations and execution of Princeton Varsity Club (PVC) service programming, execution of more than 30 PVC annual events (both on campus and off-campus), support of PVC annual fundraising efforts (including member solicitation and stewardship) and the creation and implementation of PVC communications (social media, event collateral, printed and electronic newsletters and oversight and daily maintenance of the PVC website - www.PrincetonVarsityClub.org). Beyond the PVC responsibilities, the Assistant Manager will also support several key functions of the sport-specific Athletics Friends Groups, including support of print and electronic communications, reporting and event support and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of the Associate Director of Athletics, Advancement & Princeton Varsity Club, the Assistant Manager will be tasked with oversight of the day-to-day operations and execution of PVC service programming.

• Assist with the planning and execution of several recurring PVC and Department of Athletics annual events, including taking a leadership role with seasonal PVC luncheons, PVC gameday receptions (on campus) and additional PVC "On the Road" events and gatherings across the country. • Provide support of larger-scale PVC annual events, including the Jake McCandless '51 PVC Speaker Series, the Gary Walters '67 PVC Awards Banquet, PVC Welcome Barbecue and Tiger Athletics Give Day (TAGD).

• Support of annual PVC solicitation and fundraising strategy and outreach to secure new donors to the PVC each year.• Execution of PVC membership stewardship for numerous donor levels, which includes the creation and fulfillment of stewardship collateral and materials.• Plan and staff PVC and Athletics Friends Groups fundraising and cultivation events as needed. • Day-to-day execution of PVC communications, including daily management of the PVC website (including the creation of original content and features), execution of PVC social media posts and graphics, creation of PVC event collateral, creation and distribution of PVC newsletters. • Assist with the editing and distribution of solicitations to all Athletics Friends Groups members.• Assist with the preparation of regular fundraising reports as needed.

• Support the Department of Athletics’ commitment to diversity equity and inclusion and associated Tiger Together programming, specifically around community partnership student-athlete/alumni engagement.

• Oversight of the PVC merchandise program (PVC letter sweaters, framed varsity letters, etc.) including all alumni outreach and messaging, ordering and inventory tracking. • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Thorough prior athletic experiences, demonstrated examples of leadership and achievement • Strong computer skills• Exceptional organizational skills• The ability to communicate effectively with various constituencies• Ability to work with a high degree of flexibility in a highly-collaborative, fast-paced, goal-oriented environment• Exercising discretion at all times and able to keep confidential all data related to Princeton and its alumni• The willingness to work flexible and long hours, including evenings and weekends• Commitment to Department of Athletics mission of Education Through Athletics and the values that define our BE A TIGER culture• Successful candidate must have an understanding of, and comply with the rules and regulations of the University, the Ivy League and the NCAA

• Graphic Design experience is preferred, including knowledge of Adobe Suite
