Requirements

CRM Systems Administrator, University Information Services - Georgetown University

The CRM Systems Administrator participates in the operation and maintenance of Salesforce in support of both the University wide CRM system and specifically assists with our Covid-19 response to ensure our community's health and safety. They serve as one of the primary system administrators for the university's CRM system and Covid-19 response system and other software integrated with the CRM.

Reporting to the Technical Director, and collaborating with the CRM team and colleagues within the UIS public health team, and a variety of university, vendors and alumni, the CRM Systems Administrator has duties that include but are not limited to:
  • Analyzes, defines, implements changes to, and Salesforce platform configuration
  • Develops reports, installs and maintains managed packages and loads complex data into Salesforce across multiple objects using out of the box and packaged data loads
  • Reviews systems performance proactively; and analyzes system outages and manage and monitor system performance
  • Maintain procedures and policies to ensure the security and integrity of systems/networks.
  • Write and maintain technical procedures and policy documentation
  • Create, manage, and enforce CRM data standards, policies, and procedures; and review and improve system operations practices
  • Develops and implements user types, profiles, record types, and custom security configuration.
  • Takes appropriate measures to assure adherence to standards associated with accessing, altering and protecting organizational data
  • Effectively manages changes to the production environment and technology-based assets of the organization - for example, application software, production databases, operating systems, hardware
  • Anticipates, recognizes, and resolves technical (hardware, software, application or operational) problems
  • Makes effective use of activities, tasks, tools and techniques for testing applications to ensure adherence to functional and quality requirements
  • Makes effective use of tools and platforms for design, development and support of e-commerce business-to-business (B2B) or business-to-consumer (B2C) applications - for example, online credit card payment gateway


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology, management information systems, computer engineering or similar degree or equivalent related work experience
  • At least 2-5 years of relevant experience in maintenance and design of relevant enterprise systems
  • Experience analyzing Salesforce business requirements and making resulting configuration changes in Salesforce platform
  • Extensive experience in Salesforce report design, including custom, multi-object reports.
  • Experience installing and maintaining managed packages and Salesforce change management and deployment experience
  • Experience writing Salesforce documentation, loading complex data into Salesforce across multiple objects using out of the box and packaged data loading tools
  • Experience developing and implementing user types, profiles, record types, and custom security configuration
  • Ability to write basic SOQL queries to Salesforce database
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively with faculty and staff with varying degrees of technical knowledge/aptitude
  • Ability to be flexible, open-minded, and comfortable with changing responsibilities and duties as new and additional needs become known
