Job Summary
A senior administrative official directing and responsible for the operational management of the Center for Young Adult Addiction and Recovery (CYAAR), involving a variety of alcohol, other drug and recovery education programs. Directs student service structures and research. Responsibilities include collaboration with academic PI leadership for research in the recovery science field under the direction of the AVP for Health and Wellbeing.

Serves as a liaison for the national, regional, state, and local field, as it administers policies and procedures, provides financial oversight and develops and implements the strategic plan and staff development. Principal roles and responsibilities include clinical oversight for addictive disorder supports, revenue development, strategic planning, volunteer leadership development, staff management and development, and fiscal management.

Responsible for the leadership for the nationally recognized Center for the education, support and research in the Addiction and Recovery Field. Must be committed to inclusivity, collaboration, and service and will display a high level of flexibility, organizational skills, teamwork, and innovative thinking.

Responsibilities
1. Staff Leadership: Plan performance expectations, monitor and appraise team members' job results and performance in order to develop, coach and recognize direct reports. Provide ongoing feedback and guidance to direct reports on overall performance and develop plans for performance improvement when needed.

2. Leadership: Provide oversight and management of budget review and monitoring, leadership, mentoring, and program assessment. Support, train and mentor staff/associate director and directors. Administer policies and procedures. Provide input for confidentiality, HIPPA, and other clinical standards. Review programming for administrative modernization, redundancies and data collection. 3. Development Plans, Objectives and Strategies: Develop funding strategies, including the identification of short and long-range financial issues that must be addressed. Create a sustainable plan to ensure successful attainment of financial goals, including profitable and aggressive year-over-year growth to support Center activities. Business Plan Creation and Analysis: Analyze and interpret data, make comparable analyses, recommend options and courses or action in order to develop or track strategic plans.

3. Constituent Presentations: Develop and present presentations that will promote division and subdivision mission and educate the community or constituents. Serve as the lead staff on all significant sponsorship requests in the market and engage potential national sponsors in a relationship with KSU. Through strategic leadership and partnerships throughout the university and the community, enhance the overall quality of student life at KSU and enable students to realize their fullest potential.

4. Budgetary Decisions: Develop market-wide budget, adjust and control expenditures, and take advantage of opportunities to optimize spending in order to achieve financial targets. Revise business plans and devise strategies that will bring the budget back in line with revenue. Review student programs and develop realistic goals/outcomes to maximize funding and support student health and wellness.

5. Oversee the administration, analysis, and reporting of assessments and data

6. Serve as a non-voting member of the Board for the CYAAR.

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Master's Degree from an accredited university or college in mental health, public health, social work, public administration or related field.

Required Experience
Seven (7) years of relevant work experience to include progressive responsibilities in higher education, management, non-profit, emergency management, crisis intervention, mental health counseling and/or collegiate recovery. Student/client/patient engagement and higher education.

Preferred Qualifications

Currently eligible for licensure as a LPC, LMSW, PhD Psychology, LMFT in Georgia
Certification in Addiction and Recovery, Chemical Dependency, Recovery Coaching
Certificate in Public Health

Preferred Experience
Five (5) years or more of related addiction recovery experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
ABILITIES
Able to read analyze and interrupt financial data including SAS, People Soft, financial statements, revenue accounts
Able to work with sensitive and confidential student information
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

KNOWLEDGE
Demonstrated experience building relationships and strategic partnerships with diverse stakeholders and groups, including students, parents and families, administrators, community members, alumni, and donors
Experience providing leadership in a team environment
Experience in managing complex budgets comprised of multiple funding source
Proven experience in fundraising, donor cultivation and relations

SKILLS
Executive level budgeting, ability to read P&L statements, forecast and plan
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Strong expertise in the field of substance use disorder, addiction and recovery
Strong analytical skills in strategic planning and implementation
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
