Auxiliary Services is a dynamic and high-volume enterprise consisting of Undergraduate and Graduate Student Housing, Dining Services, Vending, Agganis Arena, Events & Conferences, the Fitness & Recreation Center, Parking & Transportation Services, Barnes & Noble Bookstore, and Collegiate Licensing. The Senior Financial Analyst provides guidance and support of all finance and business functions related to operational analysis, budgeting, accounting, analytics, and dashboard reporting for a fast-paced, complex organization. The position also serves as a liaison to individual unit business and finance managers and contracted services on financial matters, policies, procedures, and transactional activity. The Senior Financial Analyst actively monitors unrestricted and restricted accounts, promptly identifying and resolving accounting questions or issues, and processes necessary financial and business transactions (e.g., journal entries, payment vouchers, and online requisitions). Joining the Boston University Auxiliary Services team offers a rare professional development opportunity that integrates operational excellence and finance in an entrepreneurial setting. A bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, operations management, or a related field and at least two three years of practical experience in a similar role is required. In addition, the successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills combined with strong analytical, written, and verbal communication abilities.

Required Skills

B.A./B.S. in in business, finance, accounting, operations management, or a related field. Two to three years of related experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. Experience with Power BI or Tableau is desired.
