    Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology

    School of Behavioral and Social Sciences


    Overview

    The Psychology Program at St. Edward's University is seeking qualified applicants at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 15, 2022. We seek candidates with a commitment to undergraduate education and mentoring, strong communication skills, and collegiality.

    Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will join an active department, teach and advise undergraduate students, pursue faculty development efforts, and participate in the wider life of the university and community. The successful candidate will also be expected to establish and maintain a program of research that incorporates the participation of undergraduate students as collaborators. Teaching responsibilities are expected to include courses consistent with the candidate's training, and opportunities to develop new courses exist.


    Qualifications

    Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related field required. Strong commitment to, and potential for excellence in, undergraduate teaching and collaborative research with students is required. Successful completion of an employment and/or criminal history background check required. Potential to be licensed, immediately or in the near future, as a psychologist is preferred
