Teach developmental and transfer-level courses in mathematics, including math for liberal arts majors, precalculus, calculus, differential equations, statistics, discrete math, and linear algebra. Instructors prepare for class, lecture, create and administer tests and other assessments, and grade student work. They have the option of teaching some courses online, depending on college needs. The college offers day, evening, weekend, and online classes.

Special Assignments:

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications:

Commitment to teaching excellence and enthusiasm for teaching. Collegial attitude. Excellent communication skills.




Master’s degree with at least 18-semester credits at the graduate level in mathematics. Degrees in fields other than mathematics are generally not acceptable. Coursework in mathematics pedagogy cannot be counted toward the 18 required graduate credits.

Preferred Qualifications:

Teaching experience, especially in a community college. Familiar with instructional technology. Ph. D. with at least 18-semester credits at the graduate level in mathematics.
