The Adult Education Administrative Assistant isdirectly responsible to the Adult Education Data and Compliance Manager. This position has primary responsibility forprocessing registration and related enrollment tasks. Maintain student records, provide general programinformation, and assist with student placement tests.

The Adult Education Data and Compliance Manager delegates authority tothe Adult Education Administrative Assistant to carry out the followingresponsibilities:

Process new student information as required.

Process registration and enrollment information as required.

Answer phone, email, virtual chat, and in-person inquiries to provide general information to students, staff, faculty, and the general public.

Research registration and academic record issues.

Process assigned computer work, office correspondence or document imaging as required.

Understand and comply with FERPA requirements.

Maintain the security of student records, both physical and electronic.

Assist with student placement and benchmark testing sessions

Assist with GED graduation and/or ESL recognition ceremonies.

Performother duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.

Two years of related office/clerical experience required. Experience in a college environment preferred.

Excellent computer and software skills.

Excellent organizational, human relations and communication skills.
