Job Summary:

The Director of Systems, Applications, and Support reports to the Assistant Vice President for Information Technology. The Director is responsible for supervising the Systems Administrators, Application Administrators, Helpdesk Operator, and Technical Support Specialists in a multi-campus environment. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college with major course work in computer science or a related field. Minimum of ten years job experience with jobs leading to this or similar job including supervisory experience. Experience with Windows servers and desktop operating systems, hardware and software are required.
Must have a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to travel and supervise operations on multiple campuses in Southeast Texas.High degree of communication skills, written and spoken.Ability to supervise the work of others.Ability to create, evaluate, and document proceduresAbility to plan, schedule, and manage projects and assignments.Ability to solve problems and multi-task.Ability to troubleshoot computer problems in a networked environment.Knowledge of personal computer hardware and software.
Extensive knowledge of current Windows desktop and server operating systems.Ability to interact with students, faculty, and staff in a professional manner.Ability to establish effective working relationships with others.
Ability to work well under occassional high stress situations. Must be able to demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.Ability to promote a positive campus image.Ability to follow established college policies and procedures.

SALARY :

Commensurate with experience.

Work Hours:

Full-time Monday - Fridays, 40 hrs a week, some overtime maybe required.
