Job Description	
Sarah Lawrence College seeks to hire a tenure-track faculty member to join its Natural Science and Mathematics faculty beginning in the fall of 2022. All candidates with an expertise relevant to the multidisciplinary energy science and technology research communities that span physics, applied mathematics, engineering, and environmental science will be considered.

We seek candidates with evidence of successful teaching in undergraduate environmental science, physics, and/or mathematics courses and interest in engaging undergraduate students in research. Sarah Lawrence is a small liberal arts college located near New York City with a unique pedagogy based on small classes and individualized student projects; interdisciplinary work is a central component of the curriculum.

The application should include the following: cover letter, CV, copy of graduate transcript, statement of teaching philosophy and scholarly interests that incorporates how diversity, equity, and inclusion informs your work, descriptions of two courses that could be offered at Sarah Lawrence, a sample of scholarly writing, and three letters of recommendation – at least one of which should speak directly to your teaching abilities.

Review of applications will begin on December 1, 2021 and continue until the position is filled.
Required Qualifications	Requirements for the position include a completed Ph.D. at the time of the appointment in any of the energy science-allied fields in the physical sciences or mathematics and a strong commitment to teaching and supervising student research at the undergraduate level.
Preferred Qualifications	Preference will be given to candidates with interests in either applied computational research or experimental research collaborations conducted at external laboratory facilities.
