Position Summary

First Application Review Date: September 17, 2021This position provides coordination in the design of data retrieval and management systems to meet user needs. Conducts feasibility studies, evaluates costs, analyzes user needs, designs in-house data processing systems or subsystems, programs the systems or subsystems, develops testing criteria, and establishes documentation to support the new systems. This position reports to the Director of Information Technology Services. This is a full-time, 12-month, benefit eligible position.The Human Resources Diversity Statement

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Uses excellent coordination and supervisory practices. Recommends hires, terminations, non-renewals, or other actions. Conducts performance evaluations and disciplinary actions. Develops staff professionally.
  • Assists in establishing goals and objectives for the team and related functions.
  • Provides coordination for direct reports in identifying and investigating Banner, Salesforce or other application problems, issues and circumstances and provides recommendations.
  • Serves as primary system administrator for the Salesforce platform, add on packages, and other systems as assigned.
  • Contributes to the conceptual design of information systems and business solutions to support functional areas by conducting needs analysis, documenting business requirements and working with development in the testing and implementation of enhancements or new functionality.
  • Works collaboratively with stakeholders to define data needs and to design reports for core functional areas across the college.
  • Is responsible for the following roles: Business Analyst, Project Coordinator, Process Coordinator, and Training and Testing Coordinator.
  • Provides business representation for core functional areas that use Banner, Salesforce, etc.
  • Serves as a liaison between Information Technology Services and other departments of the college.
  • Analyzes business processes and recommends new processes and/or systems for improved performance.
  • Has functional knowledge and experience as well as the understanding of the business process and data flows for the business areas within Banner, Salesforce, and other relevant systems.
  • Executes work priorities in accordance with project planning time sensitivity, changing work demands, and CCC policies and practices.
  • Coordinates and organizes simple to complex projects that may impact one or multiple areas.
  • Identifies and responds to end-user questions, issues, and service opportunities.
  • Maintain and update departmental set-up tables and queries/reports.
  • Coordinates user support for questions or issues related to processing office responsibilities.
  • Assesses business processes and recommends workflow improvements.
  • Monitors or manages Oracle/Banner cases, updates, fixes and enhancements in advance of the business units. Creates documentation, reports and planning documents on the use of new or enhanced Oracle/Banner techniques, methods, processes, and practices.
  • Reports on work accomplishments and identifies system issues in a logical, clear, and thorough manner.
  • Assesses and documents requirement specifications for functional areas business processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Bi-lingual (Spoken/Manual) a plus

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field AND three years of demonstrated progressive experience in programming or business analyst AND 1 years' supervisory experience; OR seven years of procedural, technical, management, or systems analysis work; OR any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as approved by the Human Resources department.



Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in computer science or related degree.
Business and systems knowledge of Banner Enterprise Resource System software, Salesforce CRM system, and other relevant systems.
Experience working in a public post-secondary educational institution (e.g., a community college, technical college, or a university).
