Position Summary

University College is currently seeking adjunct faculty within our Information and Communication Technology (ICT) program, with extensive industry experience in telecommunications technologies, who can facilitate the learning experience of adult learners in career-focused programs. At this time we are seeking applicants for both on-campus and online course delivery. Courses are delivered on-campus one night a week from 6PM - 9PM (MT).

The role of telecommunications technology adjunct faculty in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) program is to teach graduate students in the Telecommunications Technology concentration. Please visit

Essential Functions

Adjunct faculty at University College are subject matter experts in their field and integrate professionally relevant, diverse examples into their teaching and discussions. They adhere to University College Faculty Teaching Expectations and meet the following expectations:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge and industry experience in Telecommunications.
  • Ability to select the most relevant instructional multimedia and/or tech tools, and write effective copy, texts, audio and video scripts.
  • Knowledge of and experience with higher education in general and adult learners in particular.
  • Proven excellent project management skills.
  • Information analysis and management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in groups.
  • Strong desire to learn.
  • Ability to adapt priorities and focus.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in IT or related field or a masters degree and relevant telecommunications industry experience.
  • Successful teaching/facilitation or training experience with adults or completion of an education/training program on adult learning.
  • Work or academic experience congruent with the content of a course or courses offered within our telecommunications technology curriculum.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Terminal degree in IT related field or a terminal degree and relevant telecommunications industry experience.
  • Recognition of professional accomplishment in an area of expertise related to course or courses offered within our Information and Communications Technology (ICT) program.
  • Publication in the IT field.
  • Professional presentations related to the IT field.
  • Licensing and/or certification by professional organizations.
  • Completion of an education or training program on adult learning or internship/mentorship that addresses adult learning principles and practices.
