JOB SUMMARY:

The Deputy CHRO is responsible for the execution of the strategic plan as it relates to talent acquisition, retention, and engagement. Responsible for recommending policies and procedures for all assigned areas of responsibility and for designing, developing, and implementing a comprehensive communications plan to promote and apprise employees of such policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

30% - Essential - Partners with internal clients to understand their workforce needs and priorities and creates an aligned talent acquisition strategy, implementing leading practices for sourcing and identifying candidates. Provides leadership and guidance related to full life cycle recruitment: networking, sourcing, pre-screening, preliminary interviewing, negotiating offers, conducting background searches, and onboarding, ensuring sufficient and continued progress through each stage of the hiring process. Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention. Creates meaningful metrics to measure improvements. Provides regular reporting and analyses for action plans to address deficiencies.

25% - Essential - Responsible for the supervision of several major HR units, including supervising the Director of Talent Acquisition and the Director of Retention & Engagement. This position will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, and activities while ensuring compliance and implementation of the talent strategy. Provides consultative services regarding recruiting policies, procedures, and practices. Assists leaders in implementing improvements to recruiting processes. Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, objectives, short-and long-range plans; develops and implements programs to accomplish established goals. Continuously reviews and makes or recommends changes to policies and procedures within the area of responsibility. Serves on or leads task forces, committees, and project teams as required.

25% - Essential - Implement and coordinate HR programs supporting organizational strategic objectives for creating and maintaining a model workplace. Provide staff support on implementing major organization-wide projects, including but not limited to employee opinion surveys. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, retention, onboarding and; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to HR and senior leadership.

20% - Essential - Provides leadership on innovative methods and programs to attract and retain employees and enhance the employee experience. Develops long-term strategies and sponsors key initiatives to promote and improve employee engagement. Develops employee recognition strategies to include reviewing, evaluating, and making recommendations for departmental recognition programs. Participates in analysis of key data identifying retention trends. Collects timely data to support business initiatives; evaluates and applies the data to support decisions. Strategically collaborates with and builds relationships across functional divisions, entities, leaders, and key external stakeholders. Assess and analyze targeted stakeholders to enable strategic design and implementation of initiatives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in related field; Work Exp 8+ years of increasingly responsible, related experience.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in related field; Work Exp 5+ years of increasingly responsible, related experience. Undergraduate or graduate course work in human resources management, industrial psychology, statistics, or related field desirable; Certified Human Resources (SPHR or SHRM-CP) certification preferred.
