Minimum Qualifications:

Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years experience working in an accounting department, a two-year degree or a professional certificate.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payment requests for all departments at the Georgia Center. Additionally, it manages financial closure and invoicing for all events. The position also supports the Georgia Center mail room, cash receipting, and various department reporting, as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

1. Technical knowledge in the field through an apprenticeship, a degree, or professional certificate.2. Experience working with accounting software, data entry, and other office duties.3. Knowledge of and experience with UGA People soft applications preferred.

Physical Demands:

Sit at a desk for extended periods of time utilizing a computer and/or phone; walk and climb stairs; occasional lifting up to 35 pounds.
