At Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business (MSB), our mission is to build global business knowledge and inspire ethical leaders to serve the common good.

The Marketing and Events Coordinator [position] assists in coordinating all event logistics for 200+ recruitment, yield, and retention events a year for the Full-time and Flex MBA admissions teams. They also coordinate inbound marketing tactics like the school's blog and keeping our marketing collateral updated, and assist the team with answering emails and phone inquiries from prospective students. Reporting directly to the Director of MBA Admissions, Diversity, and Partnerships, the Marketing and Events Coordinator is a self-starter with a high level of initiative and proven proactive thinker in duties that include but are not limited to:

EVENT PLANNING
  • Assist with on- and off-campus event planning and execution to include attending and staffing events
  • Conduct research to analyze competitive landscape, market trends, and customer behavior, and prepare reports by collecting, summarizing, and analyzing data for events
  • Manage all events and event registration within event/marketing automation tools
  • Communicate recruitment and events deliverables, objectives, and timelines to the team, while providing guidance to increase engagement
  • Maintain event communication plan in the event system
  • Manage all event-related lists, including registration and post-event attendance in event/marketing automation tools


SOCIAL MEDIA AND MARKETING SUPPORT
  • Manage social media strategy for events, blogs, and other program promotions
  • Post content and act as liaison with the central marketing communications team
  • Update MBA Admissions event web pages
  • Manage admissions blog - identifies and liaises with students, staff, and alumni to write stories
  • Coordinate shipping of marketing materials to off-campus event locations
  • Provide administrative support for the development of marketing materials
  • Assist marketing team with marketing communication efforts and special marketing operations projects


ADMINISTRATIVE AND PROGRAM SUPPORT
  • Provide accurate information when needed by prospective students regarding admissions activities of the school and/or University programs, resources and events
  • Serve as back-up manager for Georgetown MBA email account
  • Provide secondary coverage for front office and for answering telephone calls
  • Perform special projects as assigned


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • High detail-orientation with superb organizational skills, and a strong ability to multi-task with a results-oriented mindset
  • Accustomed to a fast-paced environment and have strong communication skills for interaction with multiple event vendors, students, alumni, and faculty
  • Knowledge of, and experience with, Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Adept at learning new technology systems like Salesforce and Marketo
