The Department of Psychiatry of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine is seeking to hire a full-time faculty member to fill the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry in the Division of Adult Psychiatry. The primary thrust of the position will be to serve as the Residency Program Director. In this capacity the incumbent will responsible for the active participation in the development and delivery of instructional activities to residents. The incumbent will also be responsible for instruction of students and other allied health professionals and for service and research functions related to specialty interest and expertise. SIU SOM is an EEOC employer.

Qualified applicants will have an M.D. or D.O. degree, must have completed four years of approved residency training in psychiatry and be board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and must maintain board certifications. Applicants must be trained or willing to be trained to provide ECT services and be trained or willing to be trained in TMS. Applicants must be eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois and must have at least three (3) years of experience in academic psychiatry. Must be sensitive to the needs of underrepresented minority populations. This position has been designated as security sensitive and employment is contingent upon the result of a criminal background investigation.
