The Business School at the University of Colorado Denver invites applications for one (and possibly two) full-time tenure track Assistant Professor position(s) in Management, with an emphasis in Organizational Behavior (or a related field). The start date for the position(s) is August 2022.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate is expected to maintain a track record of high-quality peer-reviewed published academic research in his/her field. The position consists of 40% teaching, 40% research, and 20% service. The normal teaching load consists of 4 courses per year. This is typically reduced to 3 courses during the initial years of the appointment. Classes may be on-campus, online, or in a hybrid format, depending on departmental or program needs. The successful candidate is expected to reside in the Denver metro area.

 

About the Management Area

The Management area has a vibrant research faculty, including past officers of the Academy of Management and current members of premier journal editorial boards. The full-time tenure track faculty in Management include Ken Bettenhausen, Wayne Cascio (emeritus), David Chandler, Vinit Desai, Cyrus Dioun, Kyle Ehrhardt, Marlena Fiol (emeritus), Blair Gifford, Sarah Kovoor-Misra, Kelly See, and Traci Sitzmann. The Management Program supports the MBA program and offers an MS in Management with three distinct specializations and the BSBA emphases in Management and HRM. Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $161,000-$176,000. The salary is commensurate with qualifications.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Management, Organizational Behavior, Psychology, or a related field from an AACSB accredited (or equivalent) university prior to the position's start date.

Preferred Qualifications

- Demonstrated effectiveness in research, as evidenced by publications in refereed journals, presentations at academic conferences, and/or other intellectual contributions.

- Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level, as supported by teaching experience (as an independent instructor or teaching assistant) and student evaluations.
