Job Summary:

The Dual Credit Success Coordinator reports to the Director of Dual Credit Programs. The Dual Credit Success Coordinator will empower high school students enrolled in college classes at LSCPA to recognize and achieve their educational goals. The Dual Credit Success Coordinator must exemplify a committed focus to providing opportunity for high school students to succeed in college courses. The Dual Credit Success Coordinator will work with high school counselors and administrators to identify dual credit students, recruit dual credit students, help dual credit students navigate the admissions and enrollment processes, help dual credit students access and use college technology systems, monitor dual credit student progress both at the course level and at the program level, help dual credit students explore career options, and help each dual credit student to develop a post-secondary plan which may include employment, military service, enrollment at LSCPA, or enrollment at another college or university. The Dual Credit Success Coordinator will develop and implement strategies to enhance dual credit student retention and graduation for all students enrolled in Career and Technical Education pathways. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.

Valid Driver’s License.

At least one year of full-time experience in a high school or higher education setting as a faculty member or in a student services/student support role.

Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Must be able to build rapport with high school students, high school counselors and administrators, and parents.

Ability to communicate complex concepts in simple language to stakeholders

Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, complex, environment.

Ability to treat all stakeholders with dignity and respect.

Ability to establish effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to follow established college policies and procedures.

Ability to travel frequently to all public, charter, and private high schools in Southeast Texas.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly carry up to 25 pounds, and lift up to 25 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in counseling, education, higher education, student development, human services, or social work is preferred.

Experience as an academic advisor/counselor/recruiter or faculty member in a higher education setting.

Experience working with dual credit programs or students.

SALARY :

$46,000

Work Hours:

Full-time 40 hours a week
