JOB SUMMARY: Assist in coordinating services of the Professional Career Pathway Project (PCPP)  

RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent will:

  • Assist in coordinating program services, participate in planning program activities and events, and provide administrative support. Provide technical and problem-solving assistance for assigned staff, faculty and community partners.
  • Participate in program development, implementation, evaluation, and modification. Identify essential marketing, academic, and programmatic strategies to improve program outcomes and measurements.
  • Develop, coordinate, and conduct workshops, trainings and outreach events to enhance program effectiveness.  Assist in designing, coordinating, and implementing marketing strategies for the Program. Prepare and distribute marketing, digital and media publications regarding program activities and offerings. Attend marketing events as required.
  • Provide input and information for grant proposals, final reports, and professional papers. Assist in program development, assessment, and revision.
  • Assist students in academic processes, including submitting required paperwork for processing. Advise students and workforce members about career pathways, scholarship programs, and degree pathways available in Early Childhood Education.
  • Attend community meetings to build partnerships with a variety of constituents and grant program stakeholders throughout the State of Arizona. Some statewide travel required. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends. 
  • .Perform other duties commensurate with the functions and level of the position to include   participating in committee assignments and the recruitment and retention of students.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of applicable experience – or Associate degree (60 credits) and three (3) years of applicable experience – or five (5) years of experience in lieu of education.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform this job include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Ability to apply a variety of management, supervisory, and leadership techniques to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  • Knowledge of principles, practices, and methodologies used to develop professional development, academic and/or instructional programs.
  • Knowledge of desktop publishing, digital media, and marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge of instructional program development, planning, evaluation, and review with the ability to produce new, imaginative, or innovative solutions different from traditional approaches.
  • Knowledge and skill in operating a variety of multimedia equipment, computer systems, hardware, and relevant software applications.
  • Knowledge of specific processes, policies, and procedures of office management and workflow procedures to include effective management of workload, i.e. prioritizing, and organizing work.
  • Skill in gathering, compiling, and presenting information in oral and/or written form.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with staff, community leaders, faculty, students, and the public. Skill working in a diverse multi-ethnic, multi-cultural population. Bi-lingual English-Spanish (read, write, speak) preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team in accomplishing tasks.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with college staff, faculty, administrators, grant administrators, community stakeholders, and outside contractors.

SALARY: Entry Salary Range:  $42,343.00 - $44,884.00 per year (Dependent upon Qualifications)

Copies of transcripts should reflect completed course work and conferred degrees. All academic course work and degrees must be from a regionally accredited college or university or be certified by an acceptable agency that the institution is recognized by the appropriate governmental agency in its home country (this is generally stated in the degree evaluation).

Transcripts issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by a full translation (word for word) by an acceptable translator. Additionally, each foreign transcript must be evaluated for equivalency to United States accredited course work by an acceptable agency such as those agencies certified by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).
