Application Information SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of National Programs and Outreach, the Manager of Digital Learning and CRM Experience (“Manager”) manages the Clerc Center’s national online learning and content management platform. The Manager serves as the lead on all content management and graphic design needs to meet Education of the Deaf Act (EDA) mandates through producing content for national outreach purposes, demonstration schools, and Clerc Center institutional needs; manages and uses videography, desktop publishing and graphic design skills to produce, from conception to completion a variety of electronic, video, photography, and print publications including webinars, online learning resources, video content, interactive features, video technology, and advertisements; responsible for the development of measures and metrics for the effectiveness of Clerc Center platform and maintains data for use in annual reporting; supports research, dissemination, and evaluation through working with the national bilingual deaf education team; manages technical and design development of the platform and website as assigned for the organization’s strategic planning and maintenance of the existing resources; leads the design and technical development of assigned priority project development; develops a system to store and organize inventory of all photography, video projects and content; ensures that design and platform development is in alignment with requirements of the Education for Deaf Act; and manages project timelines and other related resources.


Oversight of online learning platform:

  • Oversees the planning and management of an online learning and content management system and other assigned systems, mechanisms, and programs for Clerc Center functions in the areas training, technical assistance, dissemination and outreach on the national online platform, both for a national audience and internally for teachers, staff and KDES/MSSD families.
  • Act as an internal consultant by supporting Clerc Center's web portal, customer relationship management, and learning management systems.
  • Assesses business needs, gather requirements, and recommend process improvements for the user experience.
  • Acts as Clerc Center's liaison to coordinate enhancements, upgrade, and fix requests with the Gallaudet University Salesforce Administrators.
  • Assists with release management (enhancements, patches, and fixes), testing, other system changes, and change management.
  • Develops, documents, and executes change management plans for new processes and procedures to include communications and job aids for Clerc Center users.
  • Manages vendor relationships, service level agreements, issue resolution, and release management
  • Oversees the routine and daily operation of the LMS, including user security, reports and dashboards, workflows, and resolving teaching issues related to course content.
  • Content Development:

  • Provides support toward identifying potential resources, products, content and training programs that can be applied and posted on the National Online Learning Platform geared toward professional development, sharing resources, training and information sharing among stakeholders in Deaf Education (Birth-3 and K-12).
  • Maintains and updates the National Online Learning Platform to keep the information current (resources, addition of new information, deletion of old information; and works in collaboration with content development team members to provide support for relevant products and materials for the platform.Oversees creative development of the identified projects; provides project leadership and actively manages project plans; determines project goals and timelines in collaboration with and/or based on input from related Clerc Center units and stakeholder groups; recommends and maintains timelines for identified projects; and facilitates a multi-year planning process.
  • Uses advancing technologies to enhance the Clerc Center’s ability to achieve its established agenda, e.g., the Clerc Center national online platform including but not limited to the website, online courses, video modules, online interaction features, content, resources, video conferencing, etc.
  • As assigned, supervises external contractors, and/or student assistants and interns.
    Establishes and maintains a positive and supportive working relationship with co-workers and supervisor.

    Serves as a mandatory Title IX reporter; and takes annual Title IX training as part of the compliance effort.
    Performs other related duties as assigned.SPECIFICATIONS:

    Required Minimum Qualifications (When the candidate’s resume meets these qualifications, it will be screened in):

      Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, computer related degree, or related field.A minimum of five years of related professional work experience, including experience with creating and managing content on online learning management systems (LMS) and/or customer relationship management systems.
    • Ability to converse fluently in high-level professional and academic discourse in American Sign Language.

    Preferred Qualifications (While not required, it is an advantage for what the position needs.)

    • Experience with customer relations management systems, preferably Salesforce.
    • Experience working in a K-12, post-secondary, or agency setting for deaf and hard of hearing students.

    • Ability to multitask when managing multiple activities and timelines.
    • Ability to proactively identify potential issues impacting projects, timelines and budgets
    • Ability to create work plans and systems for tracking activities, milestones and progress.
    • Ability to use strategies and tools to track activities, milestones and progress.
    • Ability to work effectively in a multi-lingual, culturally diverse environment.
    • Commitment to valuing and participating in an equity-focused environment.
